2018 Wedding Trend Report
Well it's 2018 now, that means it's time for the annual Wedding Trend Report! (Please say that sentence in your best newscaster voice. Thanks.)
I have 5, count 'em, 5 of my favorite trends happening for 2018!
Let's get started.
Subtle English Garden
Potted plants, soft blush colored velvet, greenery everywhere...yes please. Potted plants can easily be picked up at your local gardening store. They instantly make everything feel that much more magical. Don't forget to wrap those ugly green pots in something pretty!
Keep It Local
Big grand halls are always in style, but more and more people are opting for intimate locations that only they know about. Hidden gems that reflect your town's character make for memorable wedding venues.
It's Really About The After-Party
A portion of your guests are going to want to keep the night going as long as they can. Have a plan for the after-party, and be there! Yes, you're tired. Yes, your feet hurt. Change into flats and go dance. Make sure there is food to help your guests sober up a little.
Moody Color Schemes
Let's turn up the drama this season with dark greens, dusty purples, mauve and wine colored florals. Try incorporating the Pantone Color of the Year for 2018: Ultra Violet. Swoon.
Find Your Clarity
Glass, lucite, windows, let there be light! This season it's about letting your guests see it all. Having lucite chairs and big glass windows are great ways to open up a room in a modern way and let the light in.
Let me know in the comments which one of these is your favorite!
(It's the after-party...duh)
